Mandira Bedi was born in 1972 in Kolkata to Virinder Singh and Geeta Bedi. She has done schooling at Cathedral and John Cannon School in Mumbai. From St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, She got a degree in economics

She is one of the most eminent Television actresses. Mandira is a fashion designer, television actress, and television presenter. She became famous for her role in Shanti in 1994. After Shanti, she took up roles in Kunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Saaho, Dushman, and Aurat.

ICC cricket world cup in 2003 and 2007 was hosted by her. The Indian premier league season 2 and the Champions Trophy in 2004 and 2006 were also hosted by her. She led the IPL season 3 for the British network. She loves animals and is associated with PETA.

She was there to represent lay men and she was backed by Sony as she was picked up from 150-200 women as she has what it takes to go ahead. Mandira was told by Sony to ask any question that comes to her mind at that point in time. She was told by Sony to go ahead and enjoy herself.

This is why she did not do movies for a certain amount of time.

She and Raj Kaushal got married on 14 February 1999. Raj Kaushal is a Bollywood director and producer. Raj produced movies like “Pyaar mein kabhi kabhi”, “Shaadi ka laddoo”, and “Anthony Kaun hain”. He established his advertising company and made 800 commercials. Due to a heart attack, Raj passed away in 2021 June. They have a son named Vir born in 2011. They adopted a 4-year-old girl child and named her Tara Bedi Kaushal in October 2021. Mandira after the death of her husband has made her children the sole reason to live, earn and be a good parent. She was a non-vegetarian before and now turned into a vegetarian.

Mandira Bedi started 2023 with a reality show around cricket. She says she is reading scripts and may say yes to some fictional stories.

Mandira has become a fashion designer and launched her own sarees and clothing accessories line. She encourages youth to be fit, at 51 years she looks so fit that she could be a brand ambassador for any product. Mandira Bedi ages like a fine wine.  She has also been involved in raising awareness against breast and HIV/AIDS. Mandira also raised awareness for women’s empowerment and gender equality. In 2006, she won the fear factor India.
